MASON SAND (MORTAR SAND)

  • Mason sand is suitable for use on masonry work, volleyball courts, infill purposes, sandboxes, and beneath swimming pools. It can also be blended with our other sands for horse arena applications. Fine mason sand is a great way to fill in joints between pavers or mix with mortar.

CONCRETE SAND TORPEDO SAND

TORPEDO SAND

BANK SAND

  • Among one of the cheapest fill materials, this aggregate is non-spec, and is often a mix of different sands. It’s not processed, which means it can be clumpy, but it does compact well, which makes it great for those areas you need to build up.

  • Torpedo sand (also sometimes called concrete sand) is a mix of coarse-grained sand and gravel typically no larger than ⅜”. That is why it is also called FA1 or FA2 (fine aggregate) sand. It is a natural sand most commonly used to create asphalt and concrete, but it can also be used for multiple landscaping applications too. Such projects include leveling pavement and building stone walls. Since it’s simple and coarse, and since it can drain well, it is a great product for backfill and subbase (backfill means you refill a hole with the material you dug out of it. Subbase refers to the layer of aggregate you lay on top of the native materials when building a road or sidewalk).

CRUSHED GRANITE (a.k.a. dg)

  • Crushed granite from Marble Falls, TX. This base material is optimal for pathways, driveways, pads, and used as a base to install pavers and synthetic turf. DG compacts extremely well. For best compaction results, compact in 1” flights.
